My Story
Hola! Thanks for being here. I am Jimena, an abstract artist, born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, currently based in the USA. I merge my engineering and computer science background with my passion for modern art, resulting in a blend of colorful simplicity and technological brilliance.
At the core of my artistic journey lies a mission to inspire transformation through vulnerability and self-awareness. Using minimal abstract art and geometric exploration, I tap into the depths of our inner wisdom, inviting you to embark on a soul-stirring quest of self-discovery. With a repertoire of mixed media techniques, I blend analog and digital approaches, painting and animating while infusing my work with my JavaScript coding prowess. My art pieces come alive with abstract shapes and vibrant hues, reflecting my fascination with technology and unwavering artistic sensibilities.
I proudly hold the positions of a TIMEPieces artist and council member, and serve as an ambassador for KnownOrigen. Notable events such as the Latin Grammys in 2022 and CADAF have showcased my remarkable creations, while the massive billboards of Times Square in New York have become my canvas.
Beyond borders, my artwork leaves an indelible mark in exhibitions across Paris, Colombia, Argentina, Spain, China, and Switzerland.
